An excerpt from a Notice sent by our Archdiocese on 28 October 2020:
Further Extension of Dispensation from Sunday Mass Obligation
In light of the recent increase in coronavirus cases within the state of Connecticut and
continued uncertainty regarding the extent and duration of the coronavirus in the state and
throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford, Archbishop Blair has now extended the dispensation from
the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation for all the Faithful of the
Archdiocese of Hartford through Tuesday, February 16, 2021, which is the eve of Ash Wednesday.
The Archdiocese of Hartford continues to monitor the severity of the situation surrounding the pandemic and will provide updates regarding decisions reached for the archdiocese as they are made.

Blessed Michael McGivney, pray for us!
Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney
God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (here make your request). Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father
